K&K Creations

This logo was created for a home-made wreath and craft small business that a family member owns. To start this process, I sketched six thumbnail concepts for the logo using icons and typefaces that are associated with wreaths and hand-made crafts. The elements that were considered consisted of circles, flowers, big letters, and hearts along with detailed fonts and plain fonts. After discussing the thumbnail concepts I drafted with the family member, she decided that the logo thumbnail concept that contained the business name and flower inside of a wreath was the one she liked. I transferred the selected logo concept from the sketch drawing to a digital version using Adobe Illustrator. Once completed, I forwarded the draft logo to the family member for her review and approval. After confirming that no changes were required for the design, we discussed whether she wanted it to be black and white or if she would also like the logo to consist of some color. She confirmed that she did want a color version of the logo, so I provided a couple of updated versions of the logo with different color combinations. Once she approved of the color scheme for the logo, I created a simple two-page brand guide that included both the black and white and the colored versions of the logo as well as all of the colors and typography used to create this logo. Once completed, I emailed both the brand guide and the final version of the logo to her.
