Potted Plant
Animation of a potted plant in Digital Design 1 class. We were tasked to create a free-frame animation using Adobe Photoshop using either an illustration that we created or photographs that we took. I started out by designing my potted plant and background in Adobe Illustrator, then I transferred it to Adobe Photoshop. I created multiple layers with the different faces and positions of the plant. After everything was set in Photoshop, I began creating the animation by adding approximately 20 frames in the timeline panel while hiding the layers that weren’t supposed to be invisible at each stage of the animation. I setup the animation so that it used three different scenes of the image where the face on the pot and the position of the plant in the pot were different. Then, I grouped three copies of each scene together so that it transitioned from three of one scene to three of the second scene to three of the third scene. Lastly, I made all frames 0.2 to allow the animation to move smoothly.
