Newspaper design for typography project. The goal was to use a typeface to create a newspaper that discussed the typeface only using words and a few photos. Using Adobe InDesign, I created the heading and layout of the text using a grid system. I used a horizontal line to separate the header from the body and two photos in the body. After reviewing the newspaper, I noticed that there were some edits that needed to happen. I changed the column layout from a two-column layout to a four-column layout. I adjusted the top photo to include a little negative space between the top of it and the dividing line. I ensured that the photos used the same margins as the columns in order to give the paper a balanced look and feel. Finally, I added a background that reflects the style of old newspapers instead of leaving the background white which gave the newspaper a more visually appealing look. These changes brought a more balanced, visual interest, and professional look to the newspaper.
